Free-Standing Wire Grid Polarizers
REFLEX Analytical complements their general optics fabrication and offers the largest selection of infrared and free-standing wire grid polarizers. The polarizers perform across a broad spectral range (1 - >10,000µm). Free-standing wire grids are fabricated using tungsten or gold plated tungsten wire diameter sizes of 5, 10, 25 or 50µm, or beryllium-copper wire diameter sizes of 25 or 50µm. The wires are wound onto a former and the spacing can be varied between 12.5µm and 1.8mm. The wires can be bonded using adhesive or solder to many types of formers for specialized applications. The formers include metallic types (aluminum, stainless steel, invar) and non-conductive types (tefnol, fiber glass, molybdenum).
