Ultraviolet Optical Filters, UV Optical Filters with CWL from 214 to 440nm

Ultraviolet Filters

Ultraviolet Filters
REFLEX Analytical complements their product line of infrared (IR) optical bandpass filters with ultraviolet (UV) optical narrow bandpass filters. The series of UV optical filters referenced below are formulated multilayer thin films that have been developed to accurately isolate the wavelengths of interest for many applications. Click on the above image to enlarge and appreciate the applications in healthcare and life sciences, water quality testing and gas sensors requiring UV optical filters within their respective wavelength range.

Each UV filter is wavelength and application dependent. Scroll below for examples, spectral transmission curves, pricing and order details. Unit pricing is based on in-stock status. Inquire to confirm availability. If the stock is depleted, unit pricing is subject to change and becomes based on current material availability, production criteria and related costs.

210 – 235nm DNA/RNA Purity and biomolecular identification by Raman.

210 – 235nm Identification and quantification of proteins and other biomolecules, sensors for organic compounds and nitrates in water.

210 – 235nm Gas emissions and air quality analysis of nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulphur dioxide (SO2) and ammonia (NH3) all have strong absorption features in this wavelength range.

210 – 255nm Particle sizing and cytometry.

214nm The standard for protein and peptide analysis because they are very strongly absorbed, enabling higher sensitivity using the narrow spectral line width of filtered UV laser emission.

214nm Effective in detecting the presence of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and other airborne contaminants. SO2 combines with water vapor in the atmosphere to form sulfuric acid that can lead to highly toxic urban smog and/or acid rain. The 214nm filter is also useful in monitoring the off-gassing of toxins from heat treating, chemical cleaning, plating and other industrial processes.

220nm Another essential wavelength for identifying and quantifying proteins and other biological molecules with enhanced analysis extending to wavelengths near 280nm.

220nm Wavelength induced fluorescence makes it possible to distinguish between water pollutants of organic molecules. For example, molecules containing many aromatic rings such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) have the fluorescence characteristic for input wavelengths in the 220 to 230nm range.

220nm Nitrate absorption for water testing in wastewater treatment, drinking water production and monitoring agricultural fertilizer pollution of natural waters.

220nm Volatile organic compounds absorption.

240 – 250nm Ozone

255nm Measurement of dissolved organic compounds in water.
