Automated UV-Vis-NIR-IR Polarizers
REFLEX Analytical introduces and complements their manual UV-Vis-NIR-IR polarizers with an automated UV-Vis-NIR-IR polarizer series. The automated polarizers are mounted in a standard 2" x 3" slide mount and are compatible with all FTIR spectrometers and breadboard benches. The automated polarizers specifications are identical to the manual series with the exception of computer control utilizing software and motion control; permitting programmable and sequential selection of polarization angles along with the automatic collection of spectra.
An additional benefit of the automated polarizer is the reproducibility and setting of polarization angles; increasing accuracy to +/- 0.50°. The speed of auto-rotation is equally impressive; rotating from 0 to 90° in approximately 2 seconds. Operating across a broad Ultraviolet to far-Infrared spectral range (0.30 - 1000 microns) materials include BaF2 Barium Fluoride, CaF2 Calcium Fluoride, Fused Silica, Ge Germanium, Glass, KRS-5 Thallium Bromide Iodide, ZnSe Zinc Selenide and Polyethylene. Mounted auto polarizer substrates offer a 19mm clear aperture for UV - NIR and 20 mm clear aperture middle to far-infrared materials.
