38.5 x 19.5mm Liquid Sandwich Cells
Sandwich cells provide for quick and easy installation within existing cell holders. A sandwich cell consists of a metal spacer assembled with one drilled and one undrilled window of the same material and dimension. Each sandwich cell offers leak-proof assembly with an amalgam seal. Standard pathlengths are 0.015mm, 0.025mm, 0.05mm, 0.10mm, 0.20mm, 0.50mm and 1.0mm. Scroll below for order details.

Our most popular sandwich cells are assembled with 38.5 x 19.5 x 4mm windows. This series is available to fit sealed and demountable Perkin-Elmer style cells. When ordering, specify the spacer type for either a 14mm FTIR circular aperture or 10 x 22mm Dispersive rectangular aperture cell.

If required for quantification, cell calibration and matching is available as an optional service and should be indicated upon ordering. REFLEX Analytical also offers a sealed cell reconditioning service in an effort to recycle and preserve resources.

The transmission materials available for sandwich cell assemblies include but are not limited to NaCl Sodium Chloride, KBr Potassium Bromide, CaF2 Calcium Fluoride, BaF2 Barium Fluoride, KRS-5 Thallium Bromide Iodide and ZnSe Zinc Selenide.

Cell Calibration & Matching
Liquid cell calibration is required for quantitative analysis but if performing qualitative investigations, then cell calibration is not necessary.

REFLEX Analytical's standard liquid cell calibration is within 10% of the cell's nominal pathlength for a single cell. If two or more cells are ordered and cell calibration and matching is required, then the cells are matched within 3% of the each cell's calibrated pathlength.
