The standard beamsplitter plate geometry is plano-plano (with optional wedge as required) and the standard 50% Reflection, 50% Transmission coatings are designed for 45 degrees angle of incidence and random polarization although design variations are welcome. Each beamsplitter is precision fabricated to provide for extreme flatness and parallelism. The beamsplitters feature a high efficiency multiple layer anti-reflection coating to minimize back reflections. Each beamsplitter's spectral performance is optimized for a specific wavelength range.
