ATR Max II

A unique Variable Angle Horizontal ATR accessory permitting investigation over a range of incident angles from 20 to 70 degrees. With the use of a flat or trough top plate, optical alignment is maintained at all angles of incidence. Using the precision angle adjustment, the angle of incidence can be increased or decreased depending upon the sensitivity requirements of the solid or liquid sample. As the angle of incidence changes the number of reflections, depth of penetration and absorbance intensity....the angle is selected to optimize sensitivity. Measured absorbance is directly related to depth of penetration controlled by the angle of incidence. This package includes combined flat and trough top plates (each assembled with a 7 reflection 56 x 10 x 4mm, 45 degree trapezoid ATR element), flat plate clamp, volatiles cover, powder press and purge kit. Top plate assemblies with optional ATR materials (ZnS, Ge, Si, KRS-5, AMTIR and CdTe) and a choice of incident angles (30, 45 and 60 degree) are also available. Add-on features include an Automated System that conveniently selects incidence angles which can be programmed independently or simultaneously. Software is integrated to control motion and data acquisition. A Super Clamp with micrometer adjustment and venier scale is another add-on feature for critical clamping requirements and reproducibility.
