Infrared Polarizers
Product Description
REFLEX Analytical offers the largest selection of UV-visible, near infrared, mid-infrared,
far infrared and free-standing polarizers. Operating across a broad spectral range (0.20 -
1000 microns) materials include SiO2-UV Fused Silica, BaF2 Barium Fluoride, CaF2
Calcium Fluoride, Ge Germanium, KRS-5 Thallium Bromide Iodide, ZnSe Zinc Selenide,
Polyethylene and Polyester. Free-standing wire grids are fabricated using tungsten or
beryllium-copper wire. Configurations for high vacuum, high temperature or cryogenic
conditions are available upon request.
The standard polarizer assemblies provide for 2mm thick material mounted in a 35mm o.d. stainless steel retaining ring offering a 25mm clear working aperture. As an option, the ringed assemblies can be installed in optical bench polarizer mounts. Mounted or unmounted 42mm, 50mm and 75mm large area polarizers can also be provided. Submit specifications for non-standard sizes.
The order details provide for our popular 25mm ZnSe polarizer accompanied with a 3" x 2" slide mounted plate featuring 360 degree manual rotation.
For demanding applications, an automated polarizer package is available with either ZnSe or KRS-5. The package includes a mounted polarizer assembly with software and motion control permitting programmable and sequential selection of polarization angles from 0 - 360 degrees.
