FLIR Infrared Laser Optics

REFLEX Analytical is a fabricator of forward looking infrared (FLIR) optics. Materials include AMTIR (Germanium-Arsenic-Selenium Glass), As2S3 (Arsenic Trisulfide), CdTe (Cadmium Telluride), GaAs (Gallium Arsenide), Ge (Germanium), Si (Silicon), ZnSe (Zinc Selenide) and ZnS (Zinc Sulfide). The criteria for material selection depends on the application, operating wavelengths, laser intensities, temperature, pressure and other environmental elements. Commonly the materials receive a 3 - 5um or 8 - 12um antireflection coating to enhance spectral responsivity. Hard coatings can also be incorporated for operation within harsh conditions.
