Product Description
Combinatorial chemistry has become the technique of choice in drug discovery,
bio-technology, polymer science and organic synthesis. FTIR is a
tool to optimize the analytical process since it can provide structural information for
reacted substrates in their solid state.
Analysis is rapid. Using the MIRacle combinatorial horizontal ATR, results can be attained
without sample preparation in less than one minute. The single reflection accessory
provides for a 1.6mm sample interface and is equipped with a specially designed tip
specifically for combinatorial beads, crowns and pins. The self-adjusting pivotable press
tip and insert has been engineered to accurately align the combinatorial sample. The insert
attaches to the crystal sample plate with a mounting ring; its function is to center-position
the sample on the crystal and offer support in the vertical position. The press tip and
sample base are united to stabilize centering. Pressure is reproducibly applied with a
micrometer-controlled clamp.
The order details provide for a single reflection Miracle HATR with a ZnSe crystal,
pressure clamp, volatiles cover, purge attachments and a combinatorial chemistry kit.
Top plate assemblies with optional ATR materials (AMTIR, Ge, Si and Diamond) are also
available for the analysis of other solid, semi-solid and liquid samples. This option permits
the selection of the appropriate spectral range and configuration that match the optical,
physical and chemical properties of the analyzed material. The pinned top plate mounting
ensures interchange with repeatable accuracy, providing convenience and analytical
precision. Its optical design eliminates the need for frequent alignment.
Add-on features include a diamond compression clamp, flow-through cells and elevated
temperature packages.
