Product Description
REFLEX Analytical adds another pellet die to their large selection of sample preparation accessories. The 13mm Combination Die permits formation and either retention or extraction of the sample pellet.
The first format forms a pellet within the assembly's barrel after compressing the sample matrix between two polished mandrels using a laboratory press. The barrel is then installed on the V mount sample holder and placed in the path of the spectrophotometer's beam for analysis. The pellet can be dissolved with water and dried for subsequent sampling.
The alternative format is typical of all evacuable pellet die assemblies whereby the pellet is fabricated between the two polished mandrels. The mandrels are disassembled then with the use of a plunger and acrylic ring, the pellet is extracted, installed in the 13mm sample disc holder and placed in the path of the spectrophotometer's beam for analysis. The pellet can be removed and stored for future reference.
